White label SEO pricing: what agencies actually pay in 2026
Most white label SEO costs between about $180 and $1,000 per client per month wholesale. Where a plan lands depends on scope, competition, and how much content and link building it includes. Here's how to read the numbers and price your own packages.

The three ways white label SEO is priced
1. Per-client monthly plans
You pay a fixed monthly fee per client site, usually in three tiers that add content volume, link acquisition, and strategist access as you go up. This is the easiest model to resell because it maps directly onto the packages you sell to clients.
2. À la carte tasks
You buy individual deliverables: an audit, a batch of articles, a set of link placements. It works well for project work or for agencies that do strategy in-house, but you become the one who decides what each client needs every month.
3. Dedicated hours or a dedicated team
You reserve a block of specialist time each month and point it at whichever clients need it. Once you run several active clients, this is often cheaper than per-client plans.
Published white label SEO prices compared
Below are only the prices each provider publishes on its own website, checked on November 3, 2026. Many comparison articles quote figures that disagree with the providers' own pages, so we didn't use them. Always confirm with the provider before you build a proposal on a number.
| Provider | Published entry price | Model | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| AgencyPlatform | $178/mo (Local), $355/mo (National) | Per client | Rates are Gold Membership rates. Membership ($9–$100/mo) is billed separately. |
| Elvate (us) | $249 / $549 / $949 per month | Per client | No setup fee, month to month. Articles from Growth up, link acquisition on Pro. |
| SEOReseller | $499/mo (Local), $699/mo (National), $299/mo (GBP only) | Per client | No contracts for your clients. 30 days' notice if your agency leaves. |
| The HOTH | Managed SEO "around $1,000 a month" | Managed + à la carte | Links and content also sold individually at wholesale through a free reseller account. |
| DashClicks | Not published for SEO | Per client, tiered by site size | Platform is $199/mo. Fulfillment is "pay only for services you use." |
The spread is wide because the plans don't cover the same work. A $178 local plan and a $1,000 managed campaign are different products. Compare what ships each month, not the headline number.
What drives the price of a white label SEO plan
- Site size. More pages means more technical work, more on-page optimization, and more to keep healthy.
- Competition. Ranking a plumber in a mid-sized town is a different job from ranking a national SaaS brand.
- Local vs. national. Local plans center on Google Business Profile, citations, and reviews (see our local SEO checklist). National plans lean on content and links.
- Content volume. Articles are often the largest line item. Two articles a month and eight are not the same plan.
- Link acquisition. Manual outreach and digital PR are labour-heavy. Some publications charge editorial fees, which reputable providers pass through at cost with your approval.
- Access to a strategist.A named strategist in your Slack costs more than a ticket queue, and it's usually worth it for your biggest accounts.
How much to mark up white label SEO
The common range is two to four times wholesale. The HOTH's reseller guidance cites 2× to 4×, and our own suggested retail prices sit close to 3×. Here's what that looks like on our SEO plans:
| Plan | Wholesale / mo | Suggested retail / mo | Your gross margin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $249 | $749 | $500 (67%) |
| Growth | $549 | $1,597 | $1,048 (66%) |
| Pro | $949 | $2,749 | $1,800 (65%) |
Retail prices are a suggestion. Price on what a ranking is worth to the client and on what you add on top: strategy, client calls, and the relationship. An agency that runs monthly strategy sessions can justify the top of the range. One that forwards reports can't.
Rule of thumb: if a markup only works at 1.5×, the plan is too small for the client or your account management cost is too high. Fix the package before you discount it.
What cheap white label SEO usually leaves out
Low prices are fine when the scope is honest. These are the signs it isn't:
- Guaranteed rankings. No one controls Google. Reputable providers, including SEOReseller and AgencyPlatform, say so on their own sites.
- A fixed number of links at a very low price. That usually means private blog networks or link farms, which put your client's domain at risk.
- No access to the client's Search Console or GA4.If you can't verify the data, you can't trust the report.
- Reports without a work log.You should see what was done, not just a chart that went up or down. Here's what a good white label SEO report includes.
- Long minimum terms. Month-to-month is common in this market. A 12-month lock-in on a new partner is a red flag.
When per-client plans stop making sense
Per-client pricing is ideal while you're adding your first few SEO clients. Somewhere around four active plans, reserved capacity usually gets cheaper. With us, 20 dedicated hours costs $1,800/mo, and a named specialist can move those hours between clients and services as priorities change. Run the numbers on your own client mix before you switch. The full price list has every plan side by side.
Frequently asked questions
How much should I charge clients for white label SEO?
Most agencies charge two to four times the wholesale price. Base the number on the value of a ranking to the client and on how much strategy and account management you add yourself, not on the partner's cost alone.
Are there setup fees?
It varies. Some providers charge a setup fee alongside the first month; others, including Elvate, don't. Always ask, and ask what the setup actually produces.
Does the price include backlinks?
Sometimes. Entry plans often include on-page work only, with link acquisition in higher tiers or as an add-on. Publications that charge editorial fees are usually passed through at cost.
Why is white label SEO cheaper than hiring?
A partner spreads specialists, tools, and process across many clients. You buy a share of an existing team instead of paying a full salary plus tool subscriptions for one person.
